Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Surgical Unit night shift position requiring at least two years of recent surgical unit experience and BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital surgical unit with a Med/Surg patient population
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend is required
- Holiday shifts may be needed as determined by the unit
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic electronic medical records system
- Facility requires experience in hospitals with 500 or more beds
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care to surgical/Med-Surg patients
- First time travelers and local candidates are accepted
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be assigned as per unit needs
- Scrub or dress code will be provided by the unit
- Active RN license in MD or a compact RN license required
- Minimum of two years recent Med/Surg experience on a surgical unit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Recent experience working in a facility with at least 500 beds
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
