OROC Registered Nurse - Acute Care​/Tele - Hospital

Job Summary

As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

• Characterizes the nurse's ability to utilize clinical reasoning which includes clinical decision making, utilization of resources, synthesis thinking coupled with nursing skills acquired through a process of situational learning and evidence‑based practice.
• Characterizes the nurse's ability to involve and incorporate input from multiple sources to benefit family and community.
• Characterizes the nurse as a creative educator with the ability to address individual and collective intellectual and psychomotor needs.
• Characterizes the nurse's ability to utilize new knowledge, innovative reasoning and improvement, as well as to make thoughtful decision based on contemporary evidence and research.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Valid RN License in the State of Maryland or Compact License (as applicable)
• Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care/tele unit
• Hospital experience required
• Long‑term care RN experience will be considered on a case by case basis
