Join Our Team at Johns Hopkins Hospital - Labor & Delivery/Perinatal Inpatient Unit - Zayed 8 (L&D PACU Nurse)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated registered nurse eager to make a meaningful impact in high-risk obstetric care? The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Zayed 8 unit offers an exceptional opportunity to work within one of Maryland's only two Level IV Regional Perinatal Referral Centers. Our state-of-the-art unit features six triage rooms, ten Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms, three operating rooms, three Post-Anesthesia Care Beds (PACU), and over thirty inpatient beds for gynecologic services.
You will care for pregnant women with high-risk maternal or fetal needs, as well as low- and high-risk postpartum women (up to six weeks post-partum). Our Fetal Therapy Program specializes in intrauterine interventions for fetal conditions throughout pregnancy, providing expert care for the most complex cases.
This RN will be primarily assigned to pre‑op OR cases, complete recovery for scheduled OR cases on Labor and Delivery, including the care of the newborn baby during the recovery period. In the event there are no scheduled OR cases, this RN may need to act as a baby nurse in vaginal deliveries, help in triage, or help in other emergent situations on the Labor and Delivery floor.
Shift: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm, holidays required
