Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) to join our Cardinaliothoracic Transplant Specialty team. This role is integral in providing specialized care to patients undergoing advanced heart failure treatments, mechanical circulatory support, heart and heart‑lung transplantation.

- Provide comprehensive pre‑ and post‑transplant care for patients with advanced heart failure.
- Assist in managing mechanical circulatory support devices (LVADs, ECMO, etc.) and post‑transplant immunosuppression.
- Perform patient evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and implement evidence‑based treatment plans.
- Collaborate with transplant surgeons and cardiologists in rounding, patient management, and procedural assistance.
- Educate patients and families on transplant procedures, medications, and long‑term care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research efforts to advance cardiac transplant outcomes.
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) licensed in Maryland (or eligible for licensure).
- Prior experience in cardiac surgery, transplant, critical care, or cardiology strongly preferred.
- Expertise in post‑transplant care, mechanical circulatory support, and advanced heart failure management a plus.
- Strong clinical skills, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, and commitment to patient‑centered care.
Minimum $55.81/hour – Maximum $86.51/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
