The Edward
A. Myerberg Senior Center, part of CHAI, is seeking a Website & Social Media Contractor to help strengthen and grow our digital presence. This role supports the Center Director, the CHAI/Myerberg Development and Communications Manager, and the broader team by keeping our website current and creating engaging social media content that connects our community to programs, events, and services. This is a contract-based position, reviewed annually, and is ideal for someone who enjoys creative digital work, flexible hours, and mission-driven impact.
- Update and maintain website content using Word Press, including creating pages, menus, event links, pop-ups, and homepage banners
- Create engaging social media content and post to Facebook (minimum of two posts per week)
- Design and update flyers, posters, and digital graphics using Canva and Adobe tools
- Collaborate with staff to support program promotion, outreach efforts, and brand awareness
- Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Social Media Management, or a related field, or 1–2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to commit up to 5 hours per week, primarily during business hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm)
- Comfortable working remotely, with occasional on‑site support during scheduled events
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Share Point
- Experience using Facebook, Instagram, Canva, Constant Contact, and Word Press
- Clear, engaging, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing time, priorities, and deadlines effectively
- Photography and basic photo‑editing skills
Your work will help increase membership, boost program participation, and share the stories that make the Myerberg Senior Center a welcoming and vibrant community for older adults.
