Resident Service Coordinator

Reports to:

Community Manager

FLSA Status:
Non‑Exempt

Position Summary

The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) is a service manager who educates residents, develops contacts with providers, monitors service delivery, provides informal counseling, plans educational programs and coordinates volunteer opportunities. The RSC works with the Community Manager and staff to empower residents to age in place independently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide general assistance for supportive and social services promoting safe independent living.
  • Refer residents to service providers and assist with accessing community‑based services; monitor receipt and follow‑through.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date resource directory for easy referrals.
  • Report suspected abuse to the appropriate agency.
  • Develop and facilitate educational and preventive health programs, screenings, and events.
  • Assist residents in building informal support networks and connecting with community resources.
  • Advocate on behalf of residents in group or one‑to‑one settings; help with forms, utilities, and payment schedules.
  • Conduct non‑clinical assessments of resident wellness and social needs; document interactions and update service plans.
  • Meet deadlines and prioritize multiple demands while interacting with diverse populations.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Two to three years of experience in social service delivery.
  • Knowledge of supportive services and aging process.
  • Strong advocacy, organization, problem‑solving, and innovation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Equipment &

Physical Requirements
  • Computer, printer, and telephone operation.
  • Standing, lifting 30 lbs, walking, and visual/mental concentration required.
