Raw Materials Coordinator – Baltimore, MD, 21205
Pay Range: $30.00 – $31.20 hourly (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:30 AM – 12:30 PM plus one Sunday each month

The Raw Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of raw materials according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, reconciling inventory and investigating discrepancies, and compiling and maintaining manual or computerized records. This position also reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements and to identify and track overdue materials.
The Raw Materials Coordinator also serves as a resource to the production team to ensure all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations are followed.
- Count and reconcile inventory daily; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; participate in month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end inventories; be accountable for all raw materials needed for scheduled production.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Scheduler to ensure requested raw materials are available for the production schedule and communicate scheduling changes with appropriate plant personnel.
- Liaise with Transportation to coordinate raw material deliveries with the production schedule and communicate with suppliers for availability and on‑time deliveries.
- Serve as a resource to the production team and ensure safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations are followed.
- Examine materials delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications, graphics, ingredient changes, and new products.
- Perform qualification runs to qualify new raw materials and work with vendors, technicians, and internal auditors to ensure product and process quality and safety following ISO standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, and Windows.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds multiple times per day, climb stairs, walk and stand up to 4 hours per day.
- Adaptable to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Willingness to work 3 am – 12:30 pm hours, one weekend day per month, and take on prolonged seating (50% office, 50% plant).
- 2 years of manufacturing inventory management experience.
Noisy, wet, and extreme temperature environment; plant area is hot and cold.
