Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a General Manufacturing Manager 2 based out of Baltimore, MD
.

You will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 10-20 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment. You have demonstrated leadership skills and ability, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

1st Shift Hours - 6:00am - 3:30pm

• Assign and manage represented Machine Operators/Machinists and/or Computer Numerical Control Programmers to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields
• Manage Machining Process – Milling, Turning, EDM, etc
• Manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets
• Work independently across organizations to deliver products on schedule
• Perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Team
• Implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule
• Provide directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies
• Drive employee efficiency
• Meet product cost and schedule targets
• Manage the area to produce quality products
• Engage employees to achieve their highest potential

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment;
  Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment; 12 years of work experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
• Experience managing/leading multiple teams with multiple priorities/deadlines
• Experience working with chemicals and adhering to safety compliance standards
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship required

• Experience in Project and/or Personnel management experience
• Experience working in a represented (union) environment
• Experience with SAP/MES
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing
• Experience with Environmental Safety procedures/policies
