QC Inspector Job Description

We are seeking a diligent QC Inspector to perform quality inspections of printed circuit boards in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of IPC–610 and J-STD-001 standards, as well as proficiency in operating visual magnification devices and electronic and mechanical measuring tools.

• Conduct quality inspections of printed circuit boards in accordance with IPC–610 and J-STD-001 standards.
• Operate and interpret results from basic electronic and mechanical measuring devices.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Foster and maintain professional relationships with staff and management.
• Use computer-based applications proficiently for quality control tasks.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in PCB inspection, including Surface Mount and Through Hole electronics.
• IPC-A-610 certification and experience in bare board inspection.
• Ability to obtain operator certification for J-STD-001.
• Strong visual acuity and eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to review and interpret technical data packages for electronic assemblies.
• Basic math skills.

• Experience with calipers, microscopes, and micrometers.
• Experience with blueprints and quality assurance processes.

The work environment is within a small manufacturing facility with 75-100 employees, offering a climate-controlled setting. There are openings on the 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm) and 2nd Shift (2:30pm-11:00pm). While the primary need is on the 1st Shift, flexibility is offered for candidates interested in the 2nd Shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Baltimore,MD.
