Overview

AmTrust Financial is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and execution-focused Director to support the Claims and Litigation Strategy & Analytics teams. This role will serve as a trusted advisor, project leader, and operational partner, helping drive strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and ensure alignment across the Claims Analytics organization.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Support & Planning – Partner with executive leadership to define and execute strategic priorities across Claims Analytics and Claims Litigation.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate quarterly planning, goal setting, and performance tracking.
  • Project Management – Lead and manage high-impact projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations; monitor progress and resolve issues proactively.
  • Coordinate across Claims, IT, Data Science, and other departments to ensure seamless execution.
  • Operational Excellence – Document existing processes and develop strategic roadmaps for process transformation and technology enablement.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within the Claims Analytics team.
  • Manage team workflows, meeting cadences, and internal communications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Act as a liaison between the leadership team and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and follow-through.
  • Support vendor management, budgeting, and contract coordination as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, strategy, operations, or analytics, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in process improvement and technology integration projects.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of claims operations and analytics is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in business process mapping tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart), in performing root cause analysis to identify operational pain points and designing future state workflows aligned with business goals.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Jira) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Preferred Attributes: Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CBPP or similar certifications.
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.
  • Collaborative leader who builds trust and influence across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for operational excellence.

The expected salary range for this role is $120,500-$160,000/year.
