Position Duties

This position serves as the Supervisor for Special Programs, Contract Compliance, and Facilities Maintenance, and provides leadership for the administration of departmental policies and the coordination of related agency operations.

  • The incumbent reviews, drafts, and updates policies, procedures, and directives as needed to ensure consistency, compliance, operational effectiveness and alignment with the Division of Parole and Probation objectives.
  • The role evaluates operational performance; develops, updates, and standardizes workflows and operational standards; and provides oversight of projects, including the review of recommendations related to contract modifications and operating budgets.
  • In addition, the position identifies funding opportunities; researches, writes, and manages grant submissions; and ensures ongoing compliance with executed grant requirements through monitoring, reporting, and documentation to support audit readiness and program integrity.
  • The position also serves as a primary liaison with the Department, courts, law enforcement, and community partners, exercising sound judgment and discretion to identify risks and implement solutions that promote a safe, compliant, and productive working environment.
  • Serves as the supervisor for facilities maintenance functions, providing direction, prioritizing work, monitoring progress, and coordinating timely resolution of maintenance and safety issues to support a safe and productive work environment.
  • Supervises and provides direction to the staff member responsible for contract compliance, including setting expectations, reviewing work products, ensuring timely completion of compliance tasks, and addressing performance needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university, in social science, behavioral science, business or public administration.
  • Experience:

    Four years of experience in a professional administrative, supervisory or management position in a parole, probation, community corrections or other correctional setting. Two years of this experience must be directly managing Parole and Probation or Correctional Administration Programs and Services to include:
    Policy and Program Compliance, Field Support Services, Management Information Services and Financial Budget Analysis.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of Master's degree from an accredited college or university for five years of the required experience.
