Position Duties- The incumbent reviews, drafts, and updates policies, procedures, and directives to ensure consistency, compliance and operational effectiveness and alignment with division objectives.
- The role evaluates operational performance, develops, updates, and standardizes workflows and operational standards, and provides oversight of projects including review of recommendations related to contract modifications and operating budgets.
- Identifies funding opportunities, researches, writes, and manages grant submissions, and ensures ongoing compliance with grant requirements through monitoring, reporting and documentation to support audit readiness and program integrity. consolidation for safety, customizing that?? etc.
- Acts as primary liaison with Department, courts, law enforcement and community partners, exercising sound judgment and discretion to identify risks and implement solutions to promote a safe, compliant, and productive environment.
- Supervises facilities maintenance functions providing direction, prioritization, monitoring and coordination to resolve maintenance and safety issues to support a safe and productive work environment.атор
- Supervises and provides direction to the staff member responsible for contract compliance, including setting expectations, reviewing work products, ensuring timely completion of compliance tasks, and addressing performance needs.
Education
:
Bachelor's degree in social science, behavioral science, business, or public administration.
- Four years of experience in a professional administrative, supervisory or management position in parole, probation, community corrections or other correctional setting.
- Two years of that experience must be directly managing Parole and Probation or Correctional Administration Programs and Services (Policy and Program Compliance, Field Support Services, Management Information Services and Financial Budget Analysis).
- Candidates may substitute up to four years of required experience with 30 credit hours per year of accredited college coursework, or a Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree for five years of required experience, or U.S. Armed Forces military service experience meeting equivalent criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience implementing directives approved by the appointing authority.
- Experience planning, organizing, and evaluating competitive bidding processes.
- Experience providing leadership, management and guidance to mid-level management staff.
Employees may be assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle. A valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
Examination ProcessAll persons who meet the minimum and selective qualifications will be approved on the certification list and placed on the employment (eligible) list for at least one Vag฿ year.
