Assistant Project Manager – ConstructionUltimate Staffing's client is seeking a Direct Hire Assistant Project Manager to join their growing construction business. The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects. This position is responsible for assisting with project management tasks such as invoicing, vendor billing, schedule and budget tracking, and maintaining clear communication with customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare contract documentation, including subcontract agreements, change orders, and material purchase orders for Project Manager review.
- Enter RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation into project management software.
- Maintain and update logs for RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Compile and prepare monthly invoices for Project Manager review.
- Review customer billing requirements outlined in contracts and complete as necessary.
- Ensure integrity and organization of project files.
- Manage site‑specific badging and access requirements for employees as needed.
- Assist with preparation, participation, and documentation of weekly project meetings.
- Provide support to Project Managers as needed across multiple projects.
- Bachelor's degree required; engineering discipline preferred.
- Prior experience working directly with Federal Government or large institutions on construction contracts strongly preferred.
- Ability to assist with multiple projects and support multiple Project Managers simultaneously.
- Experience in a fast‑paced office environment.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and project management software.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding written, oral, and digital communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), email, internet, and other management software.
