  • Coordinate external audits; manage auditor relationships and remediation of findings.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance teams; set clear goals, service levels, and quality standards.
  • Champion modern financial systems, automation tools, and data governance practices.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships with Legal Operations, HR, IT, Practice Management, and office leaders; create alignment and shared ownership of finance initiatives.
  • Represent the CFO with professionalism in high‑level meetings with senior partners, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead special projects at the direction of the Firm Chair, Firm Vice Chair, or CFO; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership, ideally in a law firm or professional‑services environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑office operations and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Audit management, internal control design, and trust accounting (IOLTA) oversight experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Elite 3E (or similar) and Power BI is advantageous.
