Living Classroomsinspires children, youth, and adults to achieve their potential through hands-on education, workforce development, health and wellness, and violenceprevention programming. We utilize our environmental campuses, athleticfields, community centers, and historic ships as "living classrooms." We workwith one child, one teen, one adult, and one family at a time to identifyexisting barriers towards success and provide resources and opportunities tohelp each person reach their full potential, thus supporting stronger family units and more resilient communities.

Living Classrooms has an opportunity for a Facility Maintenance Engineer. The facility maintenance engineer is responsible for but not limited to the following

Job Functions:

Summary of Essential Job Functions
• - Conductsroutine inspections of Foundation facilities and equipment to ensure all equipment is operating properly.
• - Performs preventative maintenance and cleanup onall LCF properties and facilities, including:

o Regularinspection of HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and building safetyequipment

o Cleaning and upkeep of common areas, offices, restrooms, and storage spaces

o Seasonallandscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, leaf removal, mulching, andplanting

o Snowand ice removal from walkways and entrances during winter months

o Trashand debris removal from grounds, parking lots, and outdoor spaces

o Maintenance of outdoor furniture, playgrounds, fences, and signage

o Ensureall exterior lighting and security systems are operational

o Identifyingany leaks in roofs and plumbing

o Ensuringbathroom facilities are fully operational
• - Overseescontractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• - Ensures Foundation and Customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expertworkmanship, and polite communication.
• - Responsible for assisting the Manager, Facilities Engineering to ensure the proper use of companytime, manpower and materials on each project.
• - Mustbe able to understand the scope of projects and update team members as needed
• - Work alongside volunteers on the job site and knowledgably monitor project taskswhen necessary
• - Beable to climb ladders and perform work
• - Mustbe able to lift and carry 30+ lbs

Qualifications
• - High School Diploma, GED or a minimum of five (3) years' experience in home improvement or light commercial construction or landscaping
• - Valid Driver's License with a clear driving record and the ability to drive lighthauling trucks
• - Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• - Drivento attain measurable results
• - Abilityto foster a cooperative work environment
• - Abilityto establish and maintain effective working relationships
