A Washington, DC–based litigation practice is looking to add a strong mid-level associate to its business litigation team.
The group handles complex commercial disputes alongside regulatory and investigations-driven matters, often involving heavily regulated industries. The team has expanded in recent years with senior litigators who bring backgrounds in federal enforcement, congressional oversight, international arbitration, and crisis-driven disputes, which has broadened both the scope and sophistication of the work.
Associates are given meaningful responsibility. You would be involved in drafting and arguing motions, managing significant discovery, preparing and defending depositions, and working closely with partners on case strategy. There is regular exposure to federal court and agency proceedings, as well as matters with cross-border elements.
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys litigation that sits between pure commercial disputes and regulatory work, and who wants steady, hands‑on experience rather than a narrowly siloed role.
Requirements- 3–6 years’ experience in complex business or regulatory litigation
- Strong writing skills and sound judgment
- Experience at a large firm or litigation-focused practice preferred
- DC bar admission required or eligibility to obtain it promptly
