Associate Attorney - Immigration Law Firm Firm Overview
One managing partner/owner, three associate attorneys, four paralegals, one office manager, one bookkeeper, and one administrative assistant. The firm concentrates on removal defense, motions to reopen/rescind, appeals in the Board of Immigration Appeals and federal courts of appeals, federal district court mandamus, habeas corpus, and APA civil suits, immigrant visas through foreign embassies, green cards, and naturalization through USCIS, state court civil actions associated with juvenile visas.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Baltimore, MD, for an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Timothy W. Davis. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice to clients, conducting legal research, preparing and filing legal documents, and representing clients in immigration and state court hearings and immigration interviews.
Qualifications- Must have some immigration law experience, up to three years
- Must be admitted to practice law in any state and in good standing
- Immigration litigation experience or an interest in immigration litigation is strongly preferred
- Must have strong writing skills and a good work ethic and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Must have immigration experience or demonstrated prior interest in immigration law
- Must be committed to helping immigrants
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Spanish language fluency is a plus, but not a requirement
Salary commensurate with experience. The firm also offers a competitive compensation package, including a 401(k) retirement plan with firm contributions and contributions to health, vision, dental insurance plans, and subsidized bar association membership
