Serving as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth clients, the Senior Account Executive proactively identifies exposure changes, coverage gaps, and risk management opportunities while delivering exceptional service standards. In addition to client-facing responsibilities, this role provides leadership support within the Personal Lines Department through mentoring, collaboration, and market expertise.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to clients, delivering proactive, solution-oriented insurance guidance.
  • Lead renewal strategy and execution, including pre-renewal reviews, exposure analysis, remarketing decisions, and client presentations.
  • Analyze client needs and risk tolerance; recommend appropriate coverage solutions; and educate clients on policy features, limitations, and risk alternatives.
  • Proactively identify cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities to enhance coverage and strengthen client relationships.
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate submissions; negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with carriers; evaluate coverage options; and bind coverage within agency authority.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of personal lines products, underwriting guidelines, market trends, and leverage strong carrier relationships to advocate on behalf of clients.
  • Identify and pursue alternative risk placement options when coverage is unavailable in the admitted market.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource within the Personal Lines Department by providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to Account Advisors and Account Executives, as needed.
  • Collaborate with producers, leadership, and operations staff to share insights on client needs, market conditions, and carrier performance.
  • Manage complex service matters, including escalated client concerns, coverage disputes, remarkets, and claims-related inquiries.
  • Ensure all renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and service requests are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with agency and carrier requirements.
  • Support departmental initiatives, process improvements, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and accountability, exercising sound judgment within agency guidelines and insurance regulations.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of personal lines insurance products, policy forms, endorsements, and coverage strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex exposures and develop comprehensive insurance solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations clearly and explain complex concepts to clients.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client and carrier relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and expertise.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines effectively.
