Job Title: Lead Data Analyst
Location: Remote (Must be living in the following states: DC, MD, VA, WV, DE, PA, NC, NJ, NY, FL, TX)
Type: Contract to Hire (This role requires U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency to meet client conversion eligibility requirements.)
Contractor Work Model: Remote
PurposeThe main purpose of a data analyst is to find meaning in data as a thought leader so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions and assist the organization in making better business decisions.
Essential Functions- 25% Engages in data exploration using various programming languages (reading and writing code), requiring advanced knowledge of multiple database structures
- 15% Collect, analyze, and interpret data to glean insights, and develop business appropriate recommendations
- 15% Serve as an expert resource supporting data questions and issues from stakeholders and driving to resolution
- 15% Research and analyze data flow across complex data ecosystem including operational and analytical data platforms
- 10% Manage the collection of business and technical requirements from stakeholders to deliver data driven solution. Produces and reviews technical documentation that is consistent with professional standards.
- 10% Lead in the design, development, validation and delivery of data to provide insight into business decisions
- 10% Act as a mentor to all team members
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business or related field
Experience- 8 years experience in an increasingly responsible analytical/quantitative role.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- Experience in healthcare industry (including Appeals and Grievances)
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple and diverse stakeholders and leadership roles.

- Quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of analytical tools, languages, applications, platforms.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, Expert level.
- Ability to learn quickly and take direction.
