The IT Manager ensures that Shepherd’s infrastructure, applications, ERP systems, and cybersecurity posture support business continuity and strategic growth. This role protects business continuity, safeguards company data, and enables operational efficiency across all seven locations.

Outcomes

Infrastructure & Systems Reliability

  • Lead day‑to‑day operations of the IT Department
  • Oversee infrastructure including data center, hardware, mobile devices, warehouse technology, and printers
  • Ensure application stability across Eclipse ERP, Zoom, Adobe, Teams, Outlook, and related platforms
  • Maintain uptime and responsiveness across all locations

ERP & Business Systems Performance

  • Maintain and optimize Eclipse ERP (Epicor) and ERP‑adjacent systems
  • Oversee Job Management, Eclipse Forms, Innovo Deliver and Stockroom, WPCRM, and Bill Trust
  • Provide ERP data, API access, and system support to Business Optimization and Transformation initiatives
  • Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and reporting reliability

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Oversee MDR, EDR, network monitoring, vulnerability management, and backup & recovery systems
  • Maintain disciplined cybersecurity practices aligned with parent company expectations
  • Implement policies and solutions directed by Shepherd’s parent company
  • Protect company systems, customer information, and operational continuity

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a 6‑person IT team
  • Oversee 3 remote Eclipse Administrators
  • Oversee 3 hybrid System Administrators
  • Coordinate effectively with third‑party MSP support partners
  • Establish clear expectations aligned with the Shepherd Compass
  • Drive accountability, ownership, and professional development within the IT function

Improvement & Strategic Alignment

  • Provide strategic input while remaining hands‑on in execution
  • Manage multiple IT initiatives simultaneously with disciplined prioritization
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancement and process optimization
  • Support company scorecard priorities and Big Rocks through technology enablement

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IT administration
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT resources
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience leading infrastructure, ERP, and cybersecurity functions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to travel between Mid‑Atlantic locations as needed
  • Ability to successfully complete pre‑employment screening requirements
Work Shift and Hours

Monday — Friday, standard business hours, onsite – minimum four days per week; travel between locations as needed

Compensation Details

The expected base salary for this position is $125,000 – $150,000 annually depending on experience.
