Senior Technical Business Analyst

Overview

Leidos is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy. Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month.

On-site location:
Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week.

• Defining and documenting system requirements.
• Creating test plans and test cases.
• Using Agile methodologies in all aspects of the role.
• Conducting manual and at times possibly API testing.
• Good knowledge of SQL and data mapping.
• Writing Technical White Papers.
• Creating and maintain data flow diagrams.
• All other duties as assigned or directed.

• Bachelors degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Proficient in defining system documentation requirements based on input from technical personnel.
• Experience creating test plan, test cases and test execution.
• Strong experience working in an Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI Level 3 Methodologies.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

• Experience in UML diagramming and design documentation.
• Knowledge of creating and maintaining Data Flow Diagrams and developing Use Cases.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Exposure to writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents.
• Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving.
• Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.
• Strong experience with tools like Jira or Version One to manage requirements.

• Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL and JDBC.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks.
• Previous experience with Social Security Administration.
• Agile certification is desired.
• Experience with Automation testing tools is desired.
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred.
