The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure and Operations, the Head of Infrastructure Architecture designs and influences future-fit infrastructure and organization for JLL, enabling resilient IT I&O operations across the enterprise. This senior role shapes the I&O strategy, operating model, products and services, and workforce, and maintains senior stakeholder relationships with externally sourced capabilities. The role contributes to the enterprise IT strategy and ensures I&O alignment to deliver business value.

This position supports the Head of I&O, peer I&O functions, Application Development, Security, and GRC by designing solutions that align with the enterprise architecture framework and roadmap. It also participates in IT planning and policy making and drives governance processes and performance metrics. The leader will drive cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a cross-functional team of Infrastructure & Operations Architects with clear reporting lines and matrixed relationships.
  • Drive collaboration and alignment with Engineering and I&O leads.
  • Provide comprehensive oversight of the I&O technology stack.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for core verticals (e.g., Azure) and horizontals (e.g., database).
  • Prioritize overall technology improvements for I&O.
  • Provide Level 3 support of infrastructure and applications.
  • Create and execute strategy for Infrastructure Architecture, including digital transformation, cloud optimization, and adoption of innovative technologies (e.g., generative AI).
  • Design, optimize, redesign, and deliver operating models for I&O platforms and services to streamline service management and improve digital employee experience.
  • Champion innovation by influencing stakeholders and adopting breakthrough technologies, including generative AI, automation and observability.
  • Manage and optimize cloud environment strategies across cloud, edge, and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Develop and engage talent; create future-proofing strategies to upskill and retain an adaptive workforce in the era of generative AI and automation.
  • Achieve operational excellence by modernizing to a cost-optimized, on-time, stable hybrid infrastructure and by reducing technical debt and risk in new initiatives.
  • Drive and communicate outcomes, building relationships across organizational levels and translating complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Define, measure and drive success by defining objectives, metrics and KPIs, monitoring outcomes, and driving continuous service improvements that demonstrate value.

  • Outstanding Communication: Effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences, facilitating collaboration and stakeholder sponsorship.
  • Business Acumen & Subject Matter Expertise: Deep understanding of I&O technologies and enterprise business units.
  • Agent of Change: Drive cultural change, evangelize transformational initiatives, and lead at scale with agile, Dev Ops, SRE, and cloud adoption.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead diverse, collaborative teams with opportunities for mentorship and growth.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks with governance-aligned controls.
  • Continuous Learning: Commit to ongoing learning, certifications, and industry engagement.
  • Ethical: Adhere to high ethical standards and promote integrity across I&O.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years IT infrastructure and operations management experience, with at least 5 years in an architect and senior leadership role in enterprise-grade environments (ESM, Cloud, advanced network, and database disciplines).
