Software Engineer Principal – Pipeline

Type:
Pipeline. Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (currently and must be obtainable). Job Family:
Software Engineering.

Location:

Annapolis Junction, MD, USA.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, containerized applications.
• Build and maintain secure, high‑performance systems in Linux environments.
• Develop automation scripts and backend services using Python (3.x) and Bash.
• Work with modern container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Create and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Integrate messaging systems such as Rabbit
  
  MQ.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab CI).
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Ansible.
• Collaborate using Git‑based workflows and modern Dev Ops practices.
• Contribute to next‑generation development using Rust (experience or strong willingness to learn).

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Strong experience with Linux CLI and tools, Bash scripting, Python (3.x) development, No
  
  SQL databases (Mongo
  
  DB), Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Git, Git Lab CI, and Ansible.
• Experience with Rust or a strong aptitude and desire to learn it.

• Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).

• Work in a modern Dev Sec Ops  environment with current tools and best practices.
• Build secure, scalable systems that matter.
• Collaborate with highly skilled engineers solving complex challenges.
• Grow expertise in cloud‑native technologies and Rust development.

Salary range: $147,292 – $199,278 (based on experience and location).
