Overview
American Robotics is seeking a highly organized and technology-savvy early or mid-level Program/Proposal Manager with experience working within the Federal and DoW marketplace and/or Federal Programs programs. The ideal candidate has a proven background responding to government RFPs, developing structured project plans, and embracing emerging technical tools. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, a high proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with CRM systems and utilizing emerging artificial intelligence technologies.

- The role is working on-site at our Maryland facility.
- DoW Experience Required.
- Program & Project Management:
- Support teams to plan, execute, and deliver defense-focused technical programs on schedule and within scope.
- Maintain detailed project plans—including schedules, milestones, risk registers, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Develop and manage program documentation (PMPs, CONOPs, IPT notes, action trackers, after-action reports, and SITREPs).
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, supply chain, vendors, and government stakeholders.
- Utilize new technologies to streamline workflow.
- RFP/Proposal Development:
- Lead or support responses to Government RFPs.
- Develop compliance matrices, program schedules, and pricing inputs in coordination with technical teams.
- Documentation & Briefings:
- Produce high-quality written materials including technical briefs, program updates, decision memos, and slide decks for internal and government audiences.
- CRM Support:
- Utilize CRM to track opportunities, tasks, customer communications, and pipeline status.
- Ensure accurate program and contract data is reflected in the CRM.
- 5+ years of project or program management experience, with at least 2 years supporting DoD programs (government or industry).
- Experience managing projects involving hardware, software, or engineering deliverables.
- Technically savvy and excited to work with advanced software using LLMs.
- Demonstrated success responding to RFPs, preparing proposal volumes, and coordinating technical inputs.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, lookups, dashboards, data modeling).
- Experience creating Gantt charts, project schedules, and milestone plans.
- Familiarity with CRM systems.
- Strong understanding of Government procurement processes, acquisition lifecycle, and program documentation.
- Experience in defense technology, unmanned systems, robotics, or C5
ISR programs. - Active or ability to obtain clearance (Secret or higher preferred).
- Compliance understanding and experience.
