ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking an AI Solutions Architect: this is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity to join a growing national leader. The role is charged with the creation, governance, maintenance and communication of the company’s current‑state and future‑state Architectures and will work within leadership to set direction for the Architecture organization and support IT/Business functions. The AI Solutions Architect is responsible for providing infrastructure/platform/governance strategy, architecture, and technical leadership to serve a portfolio of technologies that act as the foundation for IT business applications, services, and solutions.
They will bridge the gap between technical excellence and ethical considerations, ensuring that AI solutions align with organizational values and societal impact and will serve as a member of a larger Responsible AI team that executes governance for responsible AI (RAI) implementation.
- Operate in accordance with RAI Policy and RAI Risk Policy (including Risk Matrix)
- Approve and disposition net new or modified AI applications
- Catalog all AI use cases for backlog prioritization
- Maintain compliance with RAI policies, laws, regulations, technical standards, and best practices
- Set and catalog approved and unapproved architectural patterns of RAI technology
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration
- 10+ years of technical experience designing, developing, and delivering medium to large scale software solutions
- 5+ years of technical experience designing, developing, and delivering AI/ML solutions
- Able to collaborate with business and IT leadership, application owners, architects, and partners
- Proactive, open‑minded, curious, and questioning attitude for continuous improvement
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Deep experience delivering critical strategic direction and design artifacts, and presenting deliverables
- Preference for Microsoft technologies and Azure components
- SME in Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Perseverance in the face of setbacks
- 25% travel may be required in a given month
- Master's Degree or MBA
- Professional IT Architecture education or certification (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated experience with Responsible AI governance in a prior role
