Working Title: Senior Salesforce Developer

The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting customized Salesforce application and related workflows. This will include being the administrator for Salesforce and related third party applications that utilize the Salesforce platform, meeting with project managers, analyzing project objectives, working with Salesforce vendors, creating customer workflows, maintaining user roles, and troubleshooting application errors.

At a high level you will support 311 in the City of Baltimore in handling resident service requests.

• Work closely with functional areas and 3rd party vendors to coordinate changes through development, testing and deployment.
• Creates business and technical requirements documents, conducts reviews of these requirements to communicate and manage enhancements to functionality.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations as requested by functional areas.
• Trouble shoot issues, develop solutions, and coordinate resolution with internal technical staff as well as 3rd party staff.
• Perform routine administrative and maintenance activities as needed which includes monitoring of operations and performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues in the Salesforce and associated systems such as SQL Server and Heroku.
• Monitor data quality and implement processes to improve data accuracy and consistency.

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the current solutions and architecture.
• Evaluate internal process, procedures and practices to proactively propose solutions that:
  • Reduce duplicate work and manual processes
  • Increase reuse and quality

Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in Salesforce and suggest improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
• One or more  (SFDC) Certifications with Advanced Certifications a plus

• 3 years of technical working experience in Salesforce
• Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience with mobile application development

• Experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs.
• Experience with Salesforce Lightning development
• Data modeling, management and security
• Deep understanding of issues surrounding data security and best practices for balancing availability with security.
• Experience in a Government setting.
