Agile Scrum Master – AWS, Node.js; API), P&C Insurance

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hands-on Agile Scrum Master to support delivery of complex agile initiatives. This role requires strong Scrum leadership combined with solid technical understanding of AWS and API development (Node.js). Prior experience in P&C Insurance environments is highly preferred.

• Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Act as a servant leader to Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and best practices
• Track sprint progress, velocity, and delivery milestones; ensure alignment with project timelines and business goals
• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers
• Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders
• Provide clear and consistent status updates to internal and client stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement and Agile maturity across teams
• Work closely with technical teams, leveraging understanding of AWS and Node.js-based API development

• 10+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager
• Strong expertise in Scrum and Agile methodologies
• Hands-on experience working with AWS-based applications
• Working knowledge of API development using Node.js
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work onsite 4 days per week in Cockeysville, MD

• Prior experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
• Experience working on large enterprise or consulting-led programs
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is a plus
