Clinical Solution Advisor – Take2 Consulting, LLC
Position to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Clinical Solution Advisor. This role involves providing technical expertise in Oracle Health configuration tools to manage clinical solutions, supporting knowledge transfers, and working independently on the design and development of healthcare software products. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within a healthcare or clinical environment.
Education& Certification Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering, or a related technical field is required. An additional 10 years of relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.
Onsite RequirementsThis role is a remote opportunity.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support and expertise using Oracle Health configuration tools (e.g., DCPTools, Core Event Manager , Bedrock) to manage clinical solutions.
- Manage, escalate, and resolve tickets and change requests via Service Now, ensuring compliance with Oracle Health Model recommendations.
- Support functional validation and end-user testing for EHR and third-party integrated solutions; facilitate testing events as needed.
- Collaborate with EHRM stakeholders and solution teams to monitor requirements, deliverables, and tickets, ensuring deadlines are met and risks are mitigated.
- Lead efforts in designing and developing new healthcare software products or major enhancements to existing systems.
- Support knowledge transfer activities through EHR expertise and documentation.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, analysis, data gathering, and organization skills throughout project cycles.
- Coordinate with local site end-users and stakeholders to ensure solution requirements are met and issues are addressed promptly.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in healthcare IT or clinical software environment.
- Proven ability to work independently on system design and development projects.
- Expertise in systems integration, healthcare semantics, and informatics across multiple platforms.
- Experience addressing problems related to healthcare software compatibility and interoperability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project completion and major software upgrades or enhancements.
- Experience implementing Electronic Health Records, especially in VA settings.
- Familiarity with healthcare semantics and informatics standards.
- Prior experience working within VA or similar federal healthcare programs.
- Knowledge of Service Now or similar ticket management platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups.
