Overview
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Clinical Solution Advisor. This role involves providing technical expertise in Oracle Health configuration tools to manage clinical solutions, facilitating knowledge transfer, and supporting system design and development for healthcare and clinical environments. The position requires working independently to develop new software products or enhance existing solutions, managing tickets and change requests, and ensuring successful validation and testing of EHR integrations.
Collaboration with various stakeholders and solution teams is essential to meet project deadlines and mitigate risks.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering, or a related technical field. Alternatively, an additional 10 years of professional experience may be substituted for the degree.
Clearance RequirementsAbility to obtain a Dept. of Veterans Affairs Public Trust is required.
On-site RequirementsThis role is a remote opportunity.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support and configuration using Oracle Health tools (e.g., DCPTools, Core Event Manager , Bedrock) to manage clinical solutions.
- Facilitate knowledge transfers related to Electronic Health Record systems.
- Manage and elevate tickets and change requests using Service Now, ensuring compliance with Oracle Health Model recommendations.
- Lead functional validation and end-user testing of EHR and third‑party integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and solution teams to monitor requirements, work products, and project progress.
- Design and develop new healthcare software products or improve existing systems for clinical environments.
- Perform feasibility analyses for potential future projects and ensure project delivery.
- Communicate effectively through written and oral channels to coordinate activities and document solutions.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in healthcare or clinical software environments.
- Proven ability to independently design and develop software products or major system enhancements.
- Expertise in systems integration, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multiple platform compatibility.
- Experience with healthcare systems, especially Electronic Health Records (preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- VA healthcare experience.
- Proficiency with Oracle Health configuration tools such as DCPTools, Core Event Manager , Bedrock.
- Experience managing healthcare IT projects and tickets within Service Now.
- Knowledge of healthcare informatics standards and interoperability.
