Metric5 is currently seeking a Mulesoft Architect. As a Mulesoft Architect, you will provide technical and functional services to support People Soft HCM v9.2 by working with developers, apps architect, scrum master, and customers to maintain existing system integration and develop new integration functionality. You will be responsible for platform architecture, governance and strategy alignment. You will work closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into Mule Soft integrations.
You will participate in the full application life cycle from technical design to development, testing, and deployment using Mule Soft development tools and technologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement/Management:
Engage with stakeholders to define architecture and ensure scalability, security, and performance; effectively communicate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions; manage medium to large priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively. - Architect Subject Matter Expertise:
Provide consultation and recommendations for business capabilities, business process design, business intelligence design, software development design/architecture, application frameworks, and/or interfaces during the design and ongoing care of implemented solutions; lead the design, coding and implementation of complex integration solutions and establish best practices; lead the development team to develop, test, and deploy application components; analyze, develop, test, debug, and deploy software according to standards in an agile environment;
lead troubleshooting and optimization of high‑complexity issues; conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and technical mentoring of integration developers; identify and resolve technical design or implementation issues. - Governance:
Define and document integration architectures using Mule Soft; assist in the development of reusable assets, components, frameworks, processes to facilitate API integration for future use; provide hands‑on contributions to the technical code and design documentation; responsible for documenting and ensuring approval of the application design; ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards; architect end‑to‑end integration solutions using Mule Soft and related technologies;
define API governance and lifecycle management strategies; drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices.
- Experience with People Soft 9.2
- Experience with Mulesoft Anypoint APIs
- Hands‑on experience building integrations and end‑to‑end solutions
- Experience developing integrations: batch and real‑time
- Experience with application support and testing
- Experience with data interfaces between systems
- Capable of handling challenges and efficiently managing tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with users and vendor
- Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts into understandable language for various stakeholders
- Experience with Federal Hiring or Personnel Actions
- Proficient with Integration Broker, Services, Service Operations, Handlers, Queues
- Expert in people code and component interfaces
- Proficient with the SoapUI tool to simulate API calls
- Able to work well in an agile environment
Bachelor's degree
