Systems Engineer, Robotics
Overview
We build and field-test practical autonomy and sensing systems using commercial off-the-shelf parts. You’ll contribute software that powers two live programs: a semi-autonomous ground rover (Ardu Pilot-based) and a solar-powered water-quality station (Arduino-based) — both designed for fast, repeatable deployments and dual-use relevance.
We are seeking enthusiastic Software Engineers to join our team. This is a paid opportunity ($55/hour) designed to give you real engineering experience, mentorship, and exposure to projects with direct defense applications. High-performing interns may also receive referrals to defense companies.
Responsibilities- Write and test software in Java and Python for robotics, sensing, and telemetry systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to connect code with real sensors, navigation systems, and IoT devices.
- Assist in building QA tools, simulation scripts, and calibration checkers.
- Debug and troubleshoot systems both in the lab and in the field.
- Contribute ideas for improving autonomy, reliability, and data processing.
- Stay current with software tools, frameworks, and industry trends in defense and autonomy.
