Job Overview

The DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is seeking a Senior Cisco Network Engineer to support the Office of Lottery and Gaming’s IT Department.

This position involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing a Cisco-based hybrid network environment that integrates on-premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Cisco ISE, ASA Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VMware, and Windows Server Administration
—with an active CCNP certification required.

This is a local position requiring candidates to reside within 20 miles of SE Washington, DC. The selected candidate must be fully onsite for the first 4 weeks (probationary period) before transitioning to a hybrid schedule based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily network operations, maintenance, and upgrades across Cisco-based infrastructure.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco ISE, ASA firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Manage performance and availability of LAN, WAN, telephony, and virtual systems.
  • Maintain documentation, configuration standards, and change management processes.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with security and assurance protocols.
  • Support telephony systems including VoIP, ACD, IVR, and analog services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly to maintain network stability.
  • Utilize tools such as Cisco Umbrella, FMC, DNA, Microsoft Intune, Tanium, Cayosoft, and VMware vCenter for monitoring and diagnostics.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • 4+ Years of experience maintaining and configuring Cisco network infrastructure.
  • 4+ Years of experience with LAN/WAN, telephony, and virtual systems monitoring.
  • 4+ Years of experience diagnosing and resolving network incidents.
  • 4+ Years of experience implementing network security measures.
  • 4+ Years of experience supporting VoIP and IVR platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Windows Server Administration.
