DevOps Engineer

USA Info Tech is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to be part of our Dev Ops team supporting a multi-year CMS contract. The Dev Ops Engineer will work under the supervision of the Dev Ops Manager and will be a key member of the Operations team, working in an Agile, Secure, and Dev Sec Ops  culture.

• Experience managing, building, configuring, administering, operating, and maintaining all Dev Sec Ops  environment components.
• Creating and maintaining scripts for automating the deployment of tools to an AWS cloud environment.
• Aid in automating and streamlining processes and operations. Defining CI/CD recommended practices and processes.
• Control, plan, and direct all aspects of planned database updates and change propagation, ensuring that only validated and approved changes are implemented.
• Create and maintain release plans, documentation for version descriptions, implementation plans, and release notes, as applicable.
• Establishes best practices for building and operating highly reliable systems.
• Consults system design to meet reliability and capacity requirements.
• Optimizes performance and reliability.
• Supports deployment of new applications, upgrades, or patching of existing applications.
• Automates infrastructure and configuration management.
• Identifies potential security and reliability threats and provides solutions to mitigate them.
• Automate processes and systems configuration/deployment
• Automate systems tests for security, performance, and availability
• Design and implementation of Dev Sec Ops  platforms, demonstrating frameworks and governance that cover areas such as integrating security into build automation, deployment automation, test automation, SDLC orchestration, environment management, monitoring, and production release procedures.
• Work with cloud platforms
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD)
• Analyze code and communicate detailed reviews to development teams
• Ability to gather and aggregate metrics and logs into structured applications
• Address and resolve issues on a day-to-day basis for the team. Be responsible for analyzing and documenting the causes, and final resolution

• 4+ Years of Professional Software Development Experience
• 4 to 6 years of experience maintaining the AWS infrastructure
• 4 to 6 years of experience with Dev Ops tools.
• 4 to 6 years of experience supporting applications on AWS.
• Experience working on an Agile Project
• Experience working on large projects, interacting with several teams within the project.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Technical field.

• AWS certifications

• USA Residency requirement - you must be living in US for the 3 of past 5 years.
