Under Armour is seeking a sharp, systems-minded Communications Lead to fuel our story by uncovering strategic visibility opportunities and delivering real-time intelligence to our communications function. This role will sit at the intersection of insight and execution by highlighting our award-winning work, amplifying executive voices, and identifying risk signals before they make headlines.

This teammate will own and operate Under Armour’s editorial engine by driving speaker submissions, award nominations, and strategic timing for key communications moments. They will develop editorial calendars for @UAComms social handles, bring a strong grasp of measurement and media analytics, and collaborate across internal comms, brand comms, and creative services to ensure our storytelling is always data-informed and future-ready.

Your Impact
  • Spot the Signal:
    Monitor trends, competitors, sentiment, and cultural moments to surface emerging opportunities and identify risks for UA’s communications strategy.
  • Drive the Editorial Calendar:
    Lead the planning, coordination, and publishing cadence of the global communications team’s editorial calendar including awards, speaking engagements, social content, and milestone moments.
  • Run @UAComms:
    Collaborate with the brand and internal comms teams to develop a strategy for Under Armour Communication’s social handles to amplify leadership, innovation, and corporate initiatives for internal and external visibility.
  • Elevate the Work:
    Lead the submissions process for corporate and brand awards across product, purpose, people, and innovation; partner with teams to identify and develop compelling entries.
  • Fuel Executive Visibility:
    Identify and manage strategic speaking platforms for executives and leaders, supporting profile-building aligned to brand values and business goals.
  • Deliver Smart Measurement:
    Analyze campaign impact and message performance across channels, track sentiment shifts, and build communications dashboards to inform decision-making.
  • Connect the Dots:
    Collaborate across brand, internal, executive, and creative comms to ensure storytelling is data-driven, strategic, and high impact.
  • Build a Risk Radar:
    Create an early detection framework and reporting structure to monitor and flag reputation risks and narrative shifts.
  • Institutionalize Insight:
    Help build a scalable intelligence function within comms, embedding analytics and foresight into the team’s day-to-day strategy.
  • Operational Glue:
    Be the connective tissue across comms work streams, ensuring deadlines are met and opportunities are capitalized on with discipline and creativity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Proficient in social media tools, analytics platforms, and social listening technologies.
  • Skilled in editorial planning, project management, and meeting tight deadlines.
