Overview
Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI), a construction company specializing in historic restoration and preservation, is looking for a:
Human Resources Associate (Bi-lingual)
HR Generalist (HRA) duties and responsibilitiesThe WEI HRA performs a wide range of human resources support functions and is fluent in Spanish. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, orientation and training of new and existing employees. The HR Generalist helps plan programs and processes to improve employee welfare, maintains vital employee records, and supports the smooth operation of the HR department. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assisting with recruitment processes, including candidate vetting, assisting with interviews, and issuing employment contracts
- Supporting internal and external inquiries related to the HR department
- Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records, including holidays and sickness leaves
- Processing payroll and assisting with documentation of employee compensation and benefits
- Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars
- Entering employee data into computer databases
- Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations
- Writing and submitting reports on general HR activities
- Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating management–employee communications
- Continuously learning the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency
- Acting as an interpreter during interviews from English to Spanish
- Other related duties as needed
- Spanish-speaking, reading and writing skills
- Three or more years of experience as an HR representative or related position in lieu of a degree
- Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices
- Knowledge of employment law and human resources responsibilities
- Knowledge of computer applications and HR-specific software programs
