HR Generalist
Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Hybrid (1 day onsite, 4 days remote)
Pay Rate: $27–$32/hour
Start Date: ASAP
About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and adaptable Temporary HR Generalist to provide coverage while a team member is out on leave. This individual will support day‑to‑day HR operations and partner closely with HR leadership and recruiting teams to maintain continuity across key functions. This assignment is expected to last approximately 3 months
.
General HR Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and provide high‑quality, confidential HR support.
- Assist with maintaining personnel records and ensuring data accuracy across HR systems.
- Support compliance‑related tasks, including tracking credentials, trainings, licensure, and audit‑ready documentation.
Talent Acquisition Support
- Assist recruiters with scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, reviewing applications, and conducting reference or pre‑offer checks.
- Help manage candidate movement within the ATS to ensure timely updates and accuracy.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Support employee events, announcements, and recognition programs.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including preparing documents and coordinating logistics.
HR Operations & Projects
- Update HR documents such as forms, templates, and guides as needed.
- Help track HR metrics or maintain spreadsheets—intermediate Excel skills preferred.
- Support ongoing HR projects, policy updates, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or HR coordinator capacity.
- Ability to work independently, exercise strong judgment, and handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with HR information systems and intermediate Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, data accuracy).
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and supporting multiple stakeholders.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Hybrid: Only one day onsite per week in the Baltimore office, with flexibility to support occasional additional in‑office needs (e.g., audits, events).
- Start Date: Immediate availability preferred.
