- Prepare documentation and legal draft of contracts, ensuring requirements are met and language complies with university policies, federal and state laws.
- Coordinate with Compliance Office and Office of General Counsel to resolve compliance issues and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Serve as liaison between university departments and vendors to oversee intake, review, and finalization of all contracts.
- Maintain contract filing system, administer and maintain the Contract Management Database, and monitor renewal notifications.
- Provide training manuals and documentation for ongoing contract training, and assist faculty, staff, and students on legal issues in grants and contracts administration.
- Promote adherence to the Health Sciences Compliance Program, HIPAA privacy policies, and federal healthcare program requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years experience in an academic, healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
- Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) is a plus.
- Preferred certifications:
Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Research Administrator, or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM). - Knowledge of government contracting laws, regulations, and guidelines such as FARS and core contracting phases.
- Strong project and relationship management skills, team building, and customer service orientation.
