About the RoleThe Medical Office Coordinator acts as a liaison between management and staff. The Coordinator is responsible for first-level counseling to staff and patients. Keeps management informed, early, of any personnel issues.
Key Responsibilities- Works as a collaborative member of the team to ensure quality operations.
- Assists in developing and implementing short and long-term work plans and objectives.
- Recognizes achievements of staff.
- Take necessary disciplinary measures with direction of management.
- Assist management with performance evaluations of staff.
- Resolve patient issues, where appropriate.
- Actively listens to staff and patients.
- Coordinates assigned work to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensures proper training in task and procedure and updates staff on any new and/or upcoming information.
- Oversee and manage workflows, interactions of staff, and daily functions.
- Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.
- Schedule staff and assign duties to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Keeps patients/customers informed, explains delays, and provides clear and concise information.
- Identifies and recommends opportunities for process improvements, promoting safety and efficiency.
- Ensures effective risk oversight and management of the office.
- Maintains and oversees the efficient organization of operations of practice staff specific to ensuring compliance with procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to corporate and billing compliance policies and procedures; act as primary resource for compliance issues or concerns.
- Education: HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience
