Job SummaryFollowing established conventions and guidelines, codes and abstracts the medical records of the diverse population of ER records with facility E&M levels. Meets departmental accuracy and production standards.
ResponsibilitiesCode and abstract ER records, maintain accuracy and production standards, adhere to departmental guidelines, collaborate with clinical teams.
Requirements- One to three years of experience.
- Associate’s degree preferred in Health Information Management, Health Information Technology or related field.
- Certifications required: CCS, CPC, RHIA or RHIT.
