Position

Purpose

A Mental Health Therapist
- Advanced License will serve in your capacity as a Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C) or other advanced licensure status, providing mental health evaluations, assessments, and individualized treatment to assigned clients. Areas of specialization include the treatment of co‑occurring SUD and mental health disorders, children and families, trauma, and/or neurofeedback, as these are growing needs within the community. Therapeutic services are delivered both virtually and in person on a hybrid schedule.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals, monitor treatment progress, and follow‑up at disposition.
  • Maintain a full‑time caseload and provide an average of 20‑25 clinical services weekly; 4‑5 sessions daily, Monday through Friday.
  • Utilize evidence‑based therapeutic techniques such as CBT and DBT.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client records and documentation within the electronic health system, submitting clinical documentation within 48 hours of service.
  • Make referrals when appropriate.
  • Uphold the Professional Code of Ethics for the licensing body while maintaining strict confidentiality per federal and state guidelines.
  • Take responsibility for personal development to ensure current knowledge and maintain licensing board regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on state licensing regulations and as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
Required Education and Licensing
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of therapeutic services provided post advanced licensure (preferred).
  • Active Maryland LCSW-C, LCPC, etc., independent clinical license in good standing.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing therapeutic services to co‑occurring SUD and Mental health populations.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards of clinical practice.
  • Familiarity with evidence‑based practices, trauma‑informed care, and person‑centered approaches.
  • Knowledge of Maryland's mental health system and Medicaid/MCO programs / COMAR.
  • HIPAA training required within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow‑through with time‑sensitive matters.
  • Respect for and adherence to client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain within first six months of hire.
Working Conditions and Environment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and drug‑free working environment.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and TB testing.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Office work includes commuter work, documentation, planning, and team meetings.
Compensation

$70,000–$85,000 annually (salary may vary based on experience, location, and employer).

Weekly Schedule
  • Employment type:

    Full time, 40 hrs weekly, W‑2 employee.
  • Schedule:

    Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (1‑hour mandatory lunch break).
  • Attendance at team meetings as appropriate.
Physical Requirements

Position requires clear and articulate speech and ability to hear. Requires sitting for long periods of time, reading, and typing on the computer.
