MedStar Mobile Health Center Nurse Practitioner PRN coverage - Baltimore, MD Region

About the Job

The Med Star Mobile Health Center offers primary care, urgent care, wellness exams, on‑site testing, and social determinant assessments in communities across the Baltimore area. This PRN Nurse Practitioner will staff two mobile health center units in the region, including units near Med Star Harbor Hospital, Med Star Union Memorial, Med Star Good Samaritan, and Med Star Franklin Square Hospital.

The mobile health center seeks an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with at least two years of NP experience in primary care, emergency, urgent care, FQHC, or other community health settings. The candidate will work PRN, providing cross‑coverage on both units and covering occasional weekend community events (1‑2 times per month).

The RN will serve as the sole medical provider for all age groups in each unit, addressing common acute and chronic illnesses as well as complex disease states. A Medical Director is available for consultations, and the team includes a registrar, community health advocate, and medical assistant/phlebotomy.

• Provide primary and urgent care services during scheduled unit visits.
• Offer wellness examinations and on‑site testing.
• Address social determinants of health and coordinate supportive services.
• Travel to four regularly scheduled locations per unit, and attend occasional weekend events.
• Work PRN, available at least 2 days a week Monday‑Friday and occasionally on weekends.

• 2+ years of experience caring for underserved populations, including uninsured or underinsured.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and triage skills.
• Self‑starter who is flexible, innovative, and compassionate.
• Interest in community outreach and quality improvement.
• Available at least 2 days a week for clinic and occasional weekend events.
• Ability to travel throughout Baltimore City and County.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active nursing license in Maryland.
• Experience treating all age groups.
• Experience with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) or willingness to obtain it.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
• Advanced credentials such as DNP, MBA, MHA, or MPH preferred.
