In this OR nursing role, your responsibilities include preparing the operating room for surgical cases, verifying patient identity and consent, maintaining strict sterile technique, assisting surgeons and circulating staff, handling instruments and specimens, monitoring anesthesia support, and ensuring safe, efficient handoffs to the post-anesthesia care unit. You’ll manage precise documentation, adherence to protocols, and infection prevention measures while mentoring junior team members and sharing your expertise to elevate perioperative care.
