Job Details:

• Work on 3

South, a Med/Surg Telemetry Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)

• 36 hours per week guaranteed with every other weekend and holiday requirement

• 5:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends

• Must float to other Med/Surg and Med/Surg Tele units as needed to support hospital needs

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with neuro-related diagnoses and telemetry overflow from other units

• 40 hours of orientation required

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias

• Must have 2 years of experience with neurology and Med/Surg Tele background

• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at submission

• Experience with CVA, epilepsy, ischemic stroke, seizures, and post-surgical neurology patients

• Manage telemetry monitoring, EEG continuous bedside monitoring, and bladder scans

• Handle patient diagnoses including CVA, epilepsy, radiculopathy, cervical stenosis, and post-surgical care

• Complete virtual modules on first day (8 hours for new starts, 115 minutes annually for Tele RN)

• Cannot work more than 365 consecutive days regardless of time off between contracts
