Job Details:

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)

• 36 hours per week guaranteed with longer contracts available

• Every other weekend and holiday schedule required

• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Float required to M/S and M/S Tele units and may be pulled to other units to support hospital needs

• Care for adults and geriatrics with neuro-related diagnoses and telemetry overflow patients

• 40 hours of orientation required

• 2 years of experience required with neurology and MS/Tele experience

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Must complete basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias before orientation

• Valid Maryland or Compact license required

• Handle patient diagnoses including CVA, epilepsy, ischemic stroke, seizures, and various surgical recoveries

• Perform EEG continuous bedside monitoring, telemetry, and bladder scans

• Work with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams

• Complete virtual modules on first day and annual requirements based on specialty
