Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) position, requiring at least 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience in a Level II trauma center and an active MD or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital setting
- Care for cardiac ICU patients as well as overflow from the Medical ICU, RRT distress, and other critical care diagnoses
- Rotating shifts with 7A/7P coverage
- Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed by the unit
- Uses Epic for electronic medical records
- Candidates will manage critically ill cardiac patients and may respond to Rapid Response Team (RRT) events
- Care for overflow patients from the Medical ICU as needed
- Holiday coverage assigned based on unit need
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate except where facility-specific radius rules apply
- Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU experience in a Level II trauma center
- Experience in facilities with 500+ bed count required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Prior experience with Epic EMR required
