Job Details:

• Work on 3

South Med/Surg Telemetry unit which is a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)

• 36 hours per week guaranteed with every other weekend and holiday coverage required

• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Float required to other M/S and M/S Tele units as needed to support hospital needs

• 40 hours of orientation provided

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with neuro-related diagnoses and telemetry overflow patients

• Daily census of 36 patients in 36 rooms/beds

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias (must be completed before orientation)

• 2 years of experience required with neurology and MS/Tele experience mandatory

• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission

• Preferred qualifications include previous charge experience, Cerner charting system experience, and trauma level experience

• Must complete virtual modules on first day (8 hours for new starts, 115 minutes annually for tele RN units)

• Handle patients with CVA, epilepsy, seizures, stroke, and various surgical procedures

• Work with telemetry monitoring, EEG continuous bedside monitoring, and various medical equipment

• Maximum assignment length of 365 days with required 6-month separation period before returning
