Overview
Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center completes over 2600 deliveries each year. As a GYN/OB Hospitalist you will be responsible for consulting on inpatient and ED gynecologic patients, overseeing emergency department and GYN/OB emergencies and assisting gynecologic surgical cases. You will be required to work flexible 12 hour shifts during both weekdays and weekends, days and nights for an average 12 shifts per month with vacation time.
Opportunities exist for participation in medical education and hospital committees.
Responsibilities- Consult on inpatient and ED gynecologic patients.
- Oversee emergency department and GYN/OB emergencies.
- Assist gynecologic surgical cases.
- Work flexible 12 hour shifts on weekdays and weekends (days and nights), averaging 12 shifts per month.
- Board certification/eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Experience in labor and delivery, obstetrics, and gynecology or a related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions

SalaryThe referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
