ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
Delivering billable, Medicaid-compliant psychiatric rehabilitation services to youth in a school-based setting that promote emotional regulation, social skills development, independence, and achievement of treatment goals.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a structured, school-based Fee-for-Service position aligned with client authorizations and school schedules.
Assigned Caseload: 10 clients total
- 5 clients seen three (3) times per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- 5 clients seen two (2) times per week on Tuesday and Thursday
Consistent availability is required to meet assigned service schedules and Medicaid requirements.
Classification and CompensationCLASSIFICATION:
Fee-for-Service (FFS), with the following classification options available:
- Fee-for-Service W-2
- Fee-for-Service 1099
COMPENSATION RANGE:
Compensation for this position ranges from $15.00 to $25.00 per hour, and is commensurate with experience, expertise, verified credentials, and available company budget.
BENEFITS PACKAGE:

Not eligible for company-sponsored benefits and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.
ANTICIPATED TRAVEL:
Minimal travel required. Services are primarily delivered on-site at Pretty Boy Elementary School in Baltimore County. No additional travel compensation is provided.
CLIENT SERVICE LOCATION EXPECTATION:
This position provides school-based PRP services exclusively at:
- Pretty Boy Elementary School
- Approved school-related community settings (as authorized)
Telehealth services may be provided only when explicitly approved by Medicaid and agency policy, if applicable. This is not a home-based or office-based role.
Caseload and Position SummaryCASELOAD MAKEUP:
The DSP 19 will be assigned a fixed caseload of ten (10) youth clients enrolled in PRP services.
- 5 clients receive services 3x per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
- 5 clients receive services 2x per week (Tuesday/Thursday)
All services are delivered on-site within the school setting and must comply with Medicaid PRP regulations and individualized rehabilitation plans (IRPs).
SUMMARY OF
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Direct Support Professional 19 (DSP 19) provides school-based psychiatric rehabilitation services to youth with mental health needs. The DSP supports clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, social functioning, and school-related life skills to improve overall functioning and academic engagement. Services are delivered according to each client’s IRP and documented in Medicaid-compliant progress notes.
- Provide one-on-one PRP skill-building sessions in the school setting.
- Support development of emotional regulation, coping strategies, and social skills.
- Assist clients with school-related functional skills and age-appropriate ADLs.
- Reinforce recovery-oriented goals outlined in the IRP.
- Deliver billable PRP services according to assigned schedule and service authorizations.
- Submit accurate, timely progress notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
