Overview

Villa Maria School (powered by Catholic Charities of Baltimore) is currently seeking Therapists who will provide trauma-informed clinical therapy in clinic and school settings. We offer an unmatched training and support system with caring and very skilled clinical supervisors.

Salary / Sign-on Bonus
  • Sign on Bonus: $2,000 (for external candidates only)
  • Therapist I: $65,000 (exempt)
  • Therapist II: $71,800 (exempt)
  • Bilingual Therapist I: $67,374 (exempt)
  • Bilingual Therapist II: $74,334 (exempt)
Job Details

Salary: may be determined by licensure and experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality therapy to assigned caseload.
  • Conduct intake assessments to collect necessary background information, assess medical and clinical status of clients, and establish appropriate diagnosis according to DSM-5 standards and definitions.
  • Determine needs to be addressed and the level of therapy required, including consultation with other clinical staff.
  • Develop treatment plans based on intake and diagnosis to establish clear and measurable goals and objectives for client treatment.
  • In school settings, interface and collaborate with school staff as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college approved by the board.
  • For LMSW/LCSW-C: master’s degree in social work.
  • For LGPC/LCPC: master’s degree in psychology or counseling.
Certification / Licensure
  • Therapist I: LMSW or LGPC
  • Therapist II: LCSW-C or LCPC
  • The Therapist I is licensed and works while receiving weekly supervision.
  • Minimum two years post-graduate experience in providing behavioral health services for Therapist II.
Requirements & Abilities
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, confidentiality, and professionalism in all situations.
  • Capable in assessment and treatment including knowledge of psychological and developmental theory.
  • Proven ability in identifying a variety of treatment modalities (single, group, family, and play therapy) and clinical interventions appropriate to the caseload served.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in identifying client needs and developing plans to address those needs.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • The incumbent may be exposed to potentially demanding situations such as crises and related behavior.
  • Incumbent must be able to tolerate periods of significant job-related stress.
  • May require work in areas with communities at risk.
  • May require work in schools or other buildings that do not have ideal work spaces or do not offer access.
