Specialty Surgical Technologist – Ruben Institute of Advanced OrthopedicsShift: 8 hour shifts (6:45a-3:15p)
Surgical ServicesOrthopedics – trauma, limb lengthening, limb deformity, bone infections/tumors, joint preservation & replacement, pediatric orthopedics, and foot & ankle
ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the surgical team in the RIAO, the Specialty Surgical Technologist provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse.
Qualifications- • Surgical Tech Diploma (must pass Diploma/graduation test)
- • American Heart Association Basic Life Support/CPR Certification
- • Accredited Surgical Technology Course Certificate CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (already obtained)
